3 walks - Moderate 8, 9 and 11 miles
In September we spent a weekend on the beautiful and dramatic Yorkshire coast between Scarborough and Bridlington. On the Friday we had an undulati ng 9 mile walk which followed the coast south to Ravenscar and Robin Hoods Bay. There were marvellous views of the bay area throughout, and a café at the end of the walk, in the attractive village of Robin Hoods Bay. On the Saturday, we did an 11 mile walk from Filey which followed the
Cleveland Way northwards up the coast to Scarborough.
On the Sunday our walk was 8miles long. We started from Flamborough village and headed northwards to reach the coast, then followed the chalk coastline of Flamborough head in a clockwise direction. The area isrenowned for both its birdlife and scenery. The walk was quite hilly and included one steep descent/ascent to the beach at South Landing on the southern cliffs.
